–  I witnessed something last night I believe is worth sharing. Most of you don’t know this, but one of my personas is a live-in nanny. I’ve been with this family for a long time. Such a long time that sometimes I think they are my family. Last night, youngest kid (she is 13) and I were...

Today's events justify tonight's ice cream binge.
I took a risk today and things did not turn out how I hoped they would. While deciding if I should act on what my gut was telling me to do I kept repeating to myself: “I have nothing to lose, I have nothing to lose, no-thing-to-lose.” Apparently I was wrong. Today I lost a little bit of my dignity. It made me remember of this saying that my sister repeats all of the time and it goes...

Get a little, give a little.
Hey guys, I’m not one to post much although I truly enjoy spending hours checking on whatever you all are up to. While I’ve been reading about how 2011 sucked balls and how 2012 is going to be “ahmah-zing” (thank you Penny!) I’ve also been thinking about my own resolutions. One of them, the only one so far, is to do more for others who could really use some help. ...

Well
It’s late enough so I can safely say that I survived yet another Christmas; my seventh spent away from the family. There was only one episode of ugly crying yesterday while driving back from a 11 hours shift. There were a few tears today while skyping and seeing everybody together, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the years before.  I’m not sure if I should be proud of that or...
